The Beltie Triathlon

Beltie - 4/5th September 2021

4th & 5th September 2021 – Crossmichael near CASTLE DOUGLAS

Welcome to the most wonderful triathlon. Join us in south-west Scotland for 19th Crossmichael Triathlon on 4th and 5th September 2021

Duke Events aim to cater for all abilities and will offer you a Novice Distance triathlon (The very Wee Beltie) Standard Distance Triathlon (The Wee Beltie) and a Middle-Distance Triathlon (The Big Beltie).

There will be relay team opportunities in both long distance adult triathlon events.

Welcome to the Beltie Triathlon Festival.

The Crossmichael Triathlon has a long history in the Galloway Glen of Loch Ken, we are keen to expand the successful event to include a series of races for younger athletes, a Go Tri for new triathletes and a standard distance for the experienced as well as a brand new middle distance event for those who want to go a bit further.

We think this event will have a great future and want to invite you to be part of the very first one. Saturday 31st will be where new athletes will get to dip their toe in the water and some of those competitive kids will get the opportunity to race in tri stars 1, 2 and 3 and a youth race will complete the day. September we will welcome the Standard and Middle distance athletes for a fun and hopefully sunny day.

Galloway is an amazing area with so many outdoor opportunities for fun and activity. People may know of the Dark Skies Park, the 7 Stanes mountain biking areas, the Southern Upland Way and the Galloway Forest Park but there is so much more to do.

Where we swim is in a slow moving river which is fed by Loch Ken, we will then cycle around the Loch on a very fast bike route. Our run will then take us away from the river and into the rolling hills. We finish in the village main street where the local community will cheer you over the line.
